Our
sleepover camp offers a fun alternative to traditional
boarding kennels for well-socialized
dogs. Boarding
dogs spend the nights in a home-like environment in one of our
play rooms furnished with a TV, toys, couches, chairs, and lots
of dog beds, or in the bedroom area with the staff member who
is on duty that night.
| Although
this is a group setting, we do have crates available for
dogs who have trouble settling down or at owner's request.
A staff person is on-site at all times and we strictly limit
the number of dogs sleeping over to keep it manageable. Usually
after spending all day playing with the other dogs in daycamp,
the sleepover campers are so pooped that they happily find
themselves a bed and collapse for the night. |

Rules
and Recommendations
To
make the Sleepover Camp a positive experience for all dogs, we
have the following guidelines in place:
All
dogs sleeping over must be an approved camper following the procedure
detailed in the "Enroll a Camper" link (to the left). This includes
an evaluation interview in addition to proof of vaccinations.
Although we have the ability to separate dogs for a time if they
are in
need of a time-out or some alone time, we are truly designed
for group socialization and all dogs must play well with others
in order to attend.
We
strongly recommend, and frequently require (depending
on length of stay), that any dog who will be sleeping over first
attend
at least one day of daycamp prior to boarding here for the first
time. This will ensure that your dog will be happy here for an
extended stay and not stressed out by being with all the other
dogs.
Sleepover
campers must bring their own food from home to avoid any sudden
changes to their diet. Dogs are fed separately, one at a time,
during mealtimes to avoid food guarding issues. We will happily
administer any medications your dog requires, as well as accomodate
special feeding times (such as lunches).
Please
let us know at the time you book your reservation if you think
your dog would be happiest sleeping in a crate overnight. This
way we can ensure that we have enough crates on hand for all
our campers who need one.
Finally,
sleepover campers must arrive by 3pm on the day of drop-off.
This is to ensure that they get some exercise and are able to
settle in before we go to bed. Otherwise we risk your dog having
so much energy that they disrupt the other dogs' sleep.
Holiday
Information
During
busy boarding periods such as Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas,
we want to be able to accomodate as many of our regular campers
as possible. Priority for these dates will be given to campers
who regularly attend daycamp or sleepover camp here at Wags.

The
cost of sleepover camp is $40 per night. This
includes the daycamp charge which is usually $28/day.
